SWAT - To tackle any unpleasant incident on Eid-ul-Azha, a strict security plan has been devised for Malakand Division, especially Swat and Dir districts.
A high-level security meeting was held in the supervision of the General Operation Commander (GOC) Major General Ghulam Qamar in Army Divisional Headquarters Khwaza Khela here on Tuesday. Commissioner Malakand, DIG Malakand, DCOs, DPOs and other notable police officers were also present on the occasion.
According to military sources, a tight security plan has been charted for Swat and Dir districts and holidays of the local police are postponed. Additional police cops were deployed at shopping centres, mosques and other important buildings to ensure safety of the people.
The Division has been distributed in several zones, security forces personnel and police are continuously patrolling in their deputed areas.
On the special directives of the GOC and DIG, police security personnel are monitoring some high risk places with reference to terrorist activities.
