Court refuses to remove Saad Rafique name from list of offenders

Lahore- Federal Minister for Railways, Khawaja Saad Rafique, has filed a petition in Lahore High Court to get his name removed from the list of proclaimed offenders today.
A case under the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) was registered against 100 persons, including Rafique, 10 years ago. The court summoned Saad Rafique repeatedly for the case hearing but he failed to appear. After which the court declared the PML-N leader and existing Minister of Railways, a proclaimed offender. Anti-Terrorism Court Lahore turned down a plea for taking back the charges against Saad Rafique. The Prosecution has filed a petition in the Lahore High Court, challenging the decision of the ATC court.
