Int’l actors want rift between media and Army, alleges Dasti

MULTAN-MNA Jamshed Dasti has alleged that a series of conspiracies was being hatched by different quarters including the US, India, Israel and the Pakistan government against the Pak Army.
Talking to journalists here at Multan Press Club on Thursday, he added that the Zardari  Sharif meeting was also part of a conspiracy against Pakistan Army, saying that the government had alleged that the Army did not want talks with the Taliban and now efforts were being made to involve Army in attacks on the media persons.
He said that when talks with Taliban started, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had said that although the Army was not willing to hold dialogue, the government wanted to push the process forward. He alleged that Mr Nawaz Sharif had bypassed the parliament and started talks with Taliban. He claimed that the PM wanted to become Ameerul Momineen as “efforts were being made for the achievement of this goal”.
He said that evil nexus of America, Israel and India was bent on harming Pakistan Army while the current government implanted their agenda. He claimed that anti-Pakistan elements attacked Hamid Mir under a conspiracy first and then the blame was put on the ISI. “But what I believe is that the government is involved in the attack and blaming army for this incident is a serious conspiracy,” he said. He asked the government to tell the nation what was the agenda of Nawaz-Zardari meeting and why the ministers and advisors of the government directly criticised the Pak Army.
He said that he was in favour of talks with Taliban but the problem was that the parliament was not taken into confidence on the issue. He said that although the Senate and National Assembly are the supreme institutions, all the important decisions were taken somewhere else and the parliamentarians were not taken on board.
He said that Pak Army was the major stakeholder in all national issues but it was not taken into confidence on sensitive security issues. He lashed out at Nawaz Sharif and said that he used to criticise Zardari for his corruption but now he declared the latter his Pir and hatched a conspiracy against army with his collaboration. He said that a minister from South Punjab (Abdul Qayum Jatoi) said just two words against Army and he was sent home but two ministers from upper Punjab Kh Asif and Sad Rafiq were continuously spitting venom on Army but nothing was said to them.
He said that Army and media were being brought face to face under a conspiracy, adding that he would unearth the conspiracies of government. He said that the government hatched a vicious conspiracy to create rift among different national institutions but it would fall prey to its own traps.
He anticipated that the alliance of Zardari, Sharif and MQM was a vicious conspiracy and Imran Khan should come out and play a role. Referring to Protection of Pakistan Bill, he said that it was a black law under which the government would get authority to kill anyone. He alleged that the current rulers had been involved in getting people killed inside jails.
To a query, he said that along with former president Parvez Musharraf, others including generals and judges who supported him should also be punished. He added that action should be taken against the people who violated Article 6 of Constitution from Ayub Khan to Musharraf regimes.
Referring to loadshedding, he said that prolonged power outages completely ruined the national economy while on the other hand India continued construction of dams on our rivers which would further add to power crisis. He said that trade with India was a conspiracy to destroy local agriculture sector.
He lashed out at State Minister Abid Sher Ali and said that he visited South Punjab for extortion. He alleged that the Wapda officials who refused to pay bribe were subjected to vindictive action by the minister. He said that if the residents of Fata were exempted from bills for their poverty, the people in Fort Monro were also very poor but the rulers proved themselves anti-South Punjab.
To a query, he said that he had raised the issue of parliament lodges with utmost honesty. “But I had said it since the day first that if the issue is investigated by the thieves, they would give shield to their fellows,” he maintained.
He disclosed that the preparation of bill for Seraiki Province was in final phase of its making and it would be tabled in the assembly very soon. He claimed that majority of parliamentarians of PML–N were highly disappointed with the government’s performance.
