President Mamnoon Hussain has extended his heartiest greetings to the Christian brethren all over the world and in particular to those living in Pakistan. In his message, the President said Christmas was an occasion to celebrate. “It is an occasion to revert to the message of Christ, the eternal message of love, peace, tolerance and compassion for humanity. It is time to re-dedicate ourselves to these noble ideals and work individually as well as collectively for the betterment and welfare of humanity and to contribute our share in making the world a better place to live.”
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif congratulated the Christians on the occasion of Christmas, being celebrated across the country today (Wednesday). In his message on the occasion, the Prime Minister congratulated the Christian brothers and sisters in Pakistan as well as throughout the world on the auspicious occasion of Christmas. “The Jesus Christ was sent to this world as symbol of peace, brotherhood and respect for the entire humanity. He not only healed the ailing humanity but preached the divine values of tolerance, love and compassion,” he said.
Former President Asif Ali Zardari has greeted Christian Community on the eve of Christmas. "I wish to felicitate Christians all over the world, particularly our Christian brothers and sisters in Pakistan, on the auspicious occasion of Christmas," the former President said in his message. He added, "It is also a reminder to all of us of the teachings of Jesus Christ who always spread the message of love, forgiveness and brotherhood." The need for inculcating the values of love, forgiveness and reconciliation has never been as great as it is today, he said.

Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has congratulated Christians, saying protection of basic rights of minorities and their life and property as well as provision of equal opportunities of development to them is the responsibility of government. “The Punjab government is making sincere efforts in this regard. Christians are playing a vigorous role in the development and stability of Pakistan and their services are a practical proof of patriotism. He said minorities have equal rights in Pakistan and opportunities are being provided on equitable basis to them for progress.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has felicitated the Christian community on the happy occasion of Christmas from core of his heart and has assured that the government and people of KPK equally shared their joys on this auspice event. In a message, he said that all the minorities, including Christians were integral part of Muslim society while doing for their welfare was foremost duty of Muslim state. He said, "we were rightly proud of our minorities and Christians community in particular for their valuable services in various sectors."
