FAISALABAD- Former Punjab law minister Rana Sana Ullah is nearing close to borderline between quitting or staying in PML-N and he is most likely to part ways with the ruling party.
He is stated to be pursuing a grudging tone against the PML-N central leadership in his private meetings. The parliamentarians including MNA and MPA from Faisalabad division who used to be on the forefront of showing allegiance to Rana Sana Ullah are now seen toeing a divergent line what may be termed in mild terms switching over from Rana Sana grouping to Abid Sher Ali led fortified grouping.
The sitting Punjab law minister Rana Mashud also does not have any appreciation for the statement given by Rana Sana Ullah on the day Model Town Lahore incident took place that he would not allow the avenues leading to Tahir ul Qadri residence to turn into no go areas
A day before PML-N Punjab coordinator Kashif Randhawa hosted an Iftar dinner which was attended by Punjab law minister Rana Mashud besides others. The political circles noted that parliamentarians from Rana Sana Ullah camp attended this function and they also held out assurance of their full fledged support to state minister Abid Sher Ali, a perennial political rival to Rana Sana Ullah.
In a statement given by Rana Sana Ullah a few days back he had alleged that certain members of assemblies and leaders of PML-N who had joined hands with Musharraf regime are now sitting at the helm of affairs.
Cases have been registered against PML-N MPA Rana Shoaib Idrees and his associates for storming a police station and taking away hardened criminals. On the other hand Rana Sana Ullah not only supported Rana Shoaib Idrees publicly but also tried to get drop his name from case
Mian Shahbaz Sharif chief minister Punjab expressed his annoyance when the situation came to his knowledge and he not only ordered for arrest of Rana Shoaib Idrees but also asked for prosecution of the accused in anti terrorism court.
PML-N Faisalabad has split into two factions while Chaudhry Sher Ali and Abid Sher Ali faction is gaining strength and Rana Sana Ullah group has grown marginalized with the cracks set there in following the resignation of Rana Sana Ullah.
