PESHAWAR At least 24 militants were killed and eight others got injured during clashes with the security forces in Upper Orakzai Agency on Thursday. Reportedly a security man also embraced martyrdom in the fighting. Backed by jet fighter planes, the security forces targeted suspected hideouts of militants in Ghandakai area of Upper Orakzai Agency. Four hideouts including two training centres of the militants were also destroyed. So far the security forces have pounded many hideouts of the militants in the agency with air strikes. Hundreds of militants have been killed and many more got injured in the ongoing operation against the militants. The security forces have restored the writ of the Government in many parts of the Agency.
