PML-Q MPs may face disciplinary action

ISLAMABAD - PML-Q is considering taking punitive action against those party MPs who have allegedly disregarded the leaderships directives to stage walkout from the joint session of the Parliament. Source in the party told The Nation that the party leadership was strict to its decision for staging walkout from the session and the party head Ch Shujat Hussain had also taken its parliamentarians under confidence before the beginning of the joint session. Despite the entire exercise, scores f partys parliamentarians went against the party discipline and attended the presidential address. Now the leadership of the party is thinking to take action against these Parliamentarians, the source said. He said that the party has already ta en an action against some members of the Unification Bloc in Punjab and now is likely to serve notices to these parliamentarians for breaching the party discipline. However, the sources added that a number of parliamentarians were also of the view that no action should be taken against them as it might lead to establishment of another unification bloc in Centre. A PML-Q parliamentarian, on the condi ion of anonymity, confirmed the action against these parliamentarians.
