Power cut: violent protesters take onto streets in Faisalabad

Hundreds workers, unwaged by 18 hours long power cut, held a protest against load shedding in Faisalabad and blocked Samandri Road.
Large number workers gathered at the main avenue, torched tyres and blocked Narh Wala, Jhang and Smandri Roads. They also shouted slogans against the government.
Protestors were of the view that they were facing load shedding for more than 18 hours out of 24 hours. This situation has multiplied their suffering as they have no activities and opportunities to earn their livings. Their families are compelled to die of starvation and hunger.
The angry protestors also broke signboards.
SSP Operation Sardiq Doggar reached there for dialogue but did not dare to discuss the issue with angry mob and ultimately returned.
