Beware, housing schemes in Chunian illegal

KANGANPUR - Assistant Commissioner Lubna Rasheed has warned the local citizens that all the housing schemes in Chunian except one are illegal and unregistered, so the government will not be responsible if any fraud is committed by the schemes owners. In these colonies, roads are constructed with substandard material. The ads show coated roads, parks, schools, shopping malls and many other facilities which are reportedly fake. In tehsil Chunian, dozens of such illegal colonies, housing schemes have been set up as are not registered with the Punjab and district governments. The buyers of plots in the schemes pay millions of rupees in instalments but they cannot get their plots transferred to their name.
