QUETTA - Militants blew up a 10-inch diameter gas pipeline in restive Dera Bugti district on Wednesday.
According to Levies Force officials, a long portion of the pipeline in Loti Gas Field area was damaged after a blast caused by the explosives planted by some militants.
Resultantly, gas supply from Well No. 6 to purification plant was suspended. However, no loss of life was reported in the blast.
Being informed, the law enforcement agencies rushed to the site and cordoned off the area. The officials expected the gas supply to be restored soon as repair work of the damage pipeline was started.
App ADDS: Two mortar shells were found in a nala on Saeed
Ahmed Khan Road in Quetta, Wednesday, police said. They said police on being informed reached Saeed Ahmed Khan road along with bomb disposal squad and evacuated the shells.
The law enforcing agencies men threw cordoned around the area and started search to track the suspects out. However, no arrest was made till filling this report.
