Security plan for Eid festive in Faisalabad finalized

FAISALABAD-District Coordination Officer (DCO) Faisalabad, Noor ul Amin Mengal has directed the concerned departments to ensure foolproof security and administrative arrangements in connection with the Eid ul Fitr so that the faithful can celebrate the event in a peaceful and pleasant environment.
He issued these directives while presiding over a meeting for held here on Saturday in connection with finalizing the security arrangements on the eve of Eid-ul Fitr.
Noor ul Amin Mengal said that proper cleanliness must be ensured at the sites of Eid congregations and said that installation walk through gates and technical sweeping should be made at the main and important Eid congregations.  He directed for the removal of encroachments, debris and
wall chalking on the routs of eid congregations and said that special arrangements should also be made at the public parks for the recreation of people on the eve of eid.
He urged upon the better traffic management and said that the special parking arrangements should be made near the recreational spots.  He directed the WASA officials to check the sewerage system and no overflow should be seen at any where.
The DCO stressed upon the action against the habitual beggars in the city and asked the social welfare department to carry out vigorous operation to curb the menace of beggary. He said that overcharging of fares in public transport should also be checked and special squads be deployed at transport stands for taking actions against the transporters involved in overcharging from the passengers on the Eid occasion.  He directed the management of government. hospitals for put the emergency medical services on high alert during the eid days.
He informed that a Central Control Room would be remain functional at DCO office to monitor and coordinate the security and administrative arrangements in connection with the Eid while the concerned departments would also set up control room at their offices.  He said that the
arrangements of similar nature should also be ensured at the tehsil headquarters of the district.
