PML-N vows to fix teachers' troubles

Dr Tariq Fazal, newly elected MNA from one of two capital constituencies, has said that PML-N government will take every possible step to facilitate teachers.
He said this while talking to a delegation of Central Academic Staff Association (CASA) of model colleges, which called on Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudari on Saturday.
The delegation consisting of senior office-bearers of the association was headed by the President Prof Rasheed Khan. The delegation congratulated Dr Fazal on his success in the election and apprised him of the problems being faced by the teachers of Islamabad.
Dr Tariq Fazal thanked the delegation and assured CASA of his full support for solving the problems of teaching community of Islamabad. "After a lot of deliberation we have prepared a special plan for education. Education would be the top priority of PML-N government and all issues concerning teaching community would be addressed," he told the CASA members.
Prof Rasheed informed him that although last government took some good steps of regularising the services of daily wages teachers yet education as a whole was not on the priority list of previous rulers. This was the reason why problems of teaching community multiplied in the last couple of years. Teachers were regularised but no posts were created thus leaving the regularised teachers in a state of fix.
Prof Mehboob Ahmed, senior vice president, told Dr Fazal that the education standard of Islamabad Model Colleges is becoming bad to worse due to unfair policies of the administration.–Staff Reporter
