Some units of Guddu Thermal Power Plant tripped on Sunday, suspending power supply to parts of Sindh, Punjab and Balochistan.
WAPDA sources said that a technical fault triggered the suspension of electricity supply, adding that it was being fixed by concerned technical staff.
Power supply to various cities of Sindh, Punjab and Balochistan was partially suspended.
According to sources, twenty one districts have been affected by the cut in power supply. They are Nasirabad, Ghaghai, Dalbandin, Sibi, Noshki, Quetta, Awaran, Ziarat, Pishin, Qila Abdulllah, Qilla Saifullah, Bolan, Jafferabad, Jhal Magsi, Khuzdar, Qalat and Loralai.
The Guddu Power Thermal also tripped on Thursday and Friday night, plunging Sindh and Balochistan into darkness.
