Lahore- The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts hot and dry weather in most parts of the country during the next 12 hours. However, isolated rain/thunderstorm with gusty winds is expected in Malakand, Hazara, Kohat, Rawalpindi, Sargodha Divisions, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir. PMD said the mercury is expected to rise further in Sindh, Balochistan and South Punjab, with no downpour likely during the next eight to ten days in the said parts. Karachi will also experience hot and humid weather in next 24 hours, PMD said. Over the past 24 hours, most parts of the country remained under grip of hot and dry weather, with rain in some areas of KPK, Rawalpindi Division and Kashmir. Maximum rainfall was recorded 6 mm in Balakot, Azad Kashmir, whereas maximum temperature of was recorded 47°C in Turbat, Balochistan.
