PESHAWAR - The Peshawar police recovered a rifle from a land cruiser of the US Consulate on Motorway Toll Plaza here on Friday. According to details, the police seized an automatic rifle from a policeman, Hussain Zada, travelling in a land cruiser (QM-823) of the US Consulate. The police officials said that both the driver and the gunman (policeman) were allowed to go, however, the rifle (M-16) along with 100 rounds of bullets was taken into custody. The vehicle, he said, was on way from Islamabad to Peshawar. He also said that the rifle would also be returned if its licence is produced.
