Protesters urge rulers to right their ‘wrongs’

SADIQABAD - The Jamiat Ahle Hadith Pakistan, Fatima Fertilisers’ workers and the Government Institute of Commerce, Sadiqabad took out separate rallies as a protest against the anti-Islam film “Innocence of Muslims” made in the US. The activists, workers and the teachers as well students of the college pledged that they would not hesitate to render any sacrifice for the honour of Islam and of the Last and Final Messenger (SAW). They said that the act of blasphemy was a test for the Muslims. They suggested that if the Muslims strictly act upon the teachings of Islam, no one would dare commit blasphemy. The Jamiat’s leaders while addressing a rally said that their organisation was carrying out peaceful protests. Jamiat Naib Ameer Qari Abdul Wakeel observed that also the rulers should lead such protests. He urged the rulers to right their direction towards Allah Almighty by diverting from the Western powers. Mr Wakeel said that only holding an Ishq-e-Rasool (SAW) conference at the Prime Minister and President’s Houses is not sufficient rather the rulers should give up the slavery of the US. He also stressed the need for unity among the Muslim, urging the politicians to shun their differences and get united against anti-Islam powers.   Likewise, the employees of Fatima Fertilisers took out another protest rally which started from the Gate 2 of the factory, and passing through various roads culminated at the National Highway. Addressing the participants, the speakers demanded immediate intervention of the United Nations to declare such blasphemous acts a crime. They demanded that the blasphemers should be handed over to the Muslims. They said, “Our religion inculcates us to honour the other religions and not to hurt sentiments of other religions’ believers and we also expect this from others.”  Separately, the Government Institute of Commerce administration held a condemnation seminar against the film. On the occasion, Prof Sajjad Mansoor presented a resolution which condemned the blasphemous act that has hurt the Muslim Ummah’s sentiments across the world.
