14 docs among 24 absentees fired

The district administration of Sialkot has suspended 24 hospital officials including 14 doctors who were found absent from their duties during a surprising raid at Government Social Security Hospital. DCO Sialkot Iftikhar Ali Sahu suspended Dr. Muhammad Younas (Deputy Medical Superintendent),  Dr Muhammad Javaid (APMO), medical officers Dr Fahad Usman, Dr Waqas Azeem, Dr Farooq Ashraf, Dr Muhammad Atif, Dr Adnan Malik, Dr Saadat Anwar, Dr Usman Tahir, Dr Muhammad Ashraf, women medical officers Dr Mubarika Hameed, Dr Yasmeen Farooq, Dr Zartasha Kanwal, X-rays technicians Muhammad Akbar, Sunni Robin, Sajid Ali (Operation Theater Assistant), Ahmed Waqas (Dispenser) and drivers Javaid Akhtar and Nadeem Said.
The DCO has also ordered a strict departmental probe against them, in this regard. GANG OF ILLEGAL SIMS’ SELLERS BUSTED: Sialkot police have busted an inter-district gang of illegal SIMs sellers in Sialkot and have arrested four members of the gang. A Police official said that the police have arrested Khurram Aftab, Ali Islam, Muhammad Usman Naeem and Victor John, adding that the accused had been selling the SIMs of different cellular companies under fake names after getting voters’ lists from the different union councils. The accused used to select people’s names, their addresses and CNIC numbers from the voters’ lists and used to sell the three to four SIMs on each name.
The SP investigation added the two accused Ali Islam and Victor John had been employees of a cellular company due to which they were fully aware of the entire process of selling the SIMs legally or illegally. Police have also recovered a big quantity of the SMIs of almost all the cellular companies’ form the accused. Police have registered a case and sent the accused behind the bars.
Further investigations are underway, the SP added.
