SIALKOT - Regional Police Officer (RPO) Muhammad Amin said on Sunday that the Gujranwala Police were committed to protecting life and property of the common man and will spare no efforts to come up to expectations of the masses.
Addressing members of the Sialkot Motorcycle Dealers’ Association here, the RPO said that law and order would be maintained at all costs and the drive against anti-social elements, dacoits and kidnappers had been expedited in all parts of the region.
With the active cooperation and support of the citizens, the police would further tighten the noose around criminals and all districts of the region would be purged of crimes, he said.
The RPO claimed that the police were performing their duty honestly to maintain law and order in the region. He also lauded Zahid Iqbal Lone for his foiling a robbery attempt at his motorcycle showroom and killing a dacoit on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, District Police Officer (DPO) Mohsin Naqvi assured the traders that the police would further enhance its patrolling on Railway Road. He said that all channels and modes were being mobilised to scale down the crime graph in Sialkot district.
The Markazi Anjuman-e-Tajaran and representatives of the Motorcycle Dealers’ Association also spoke on the occasion.
Later, the RPO presented a commendatory certificate to Zahid Iqbal Lone.
