Jamaat backs KI demands

MULTAN - Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Secretary General Liaqat Baloch has demanded the government to immediately withdraw all cases against the leaders of Kissan Ittehad and accept their demands.
Talking to KI President Ch Muhammad Anwar, he said that the JI supported all demands of KI and it would join hands with the farmers for acceptance of their demands. He said that the solution to all problems lied in Islamic system, asking the masses to support JI for getting rid of system of corruption and injustice.
He declared that the JI would introduce green electricity and green diesel for agriculture at half rates besides lifting all taxes from other inputs like seed, fertilizer and pesticides. He said that the interest would be written off from all agricultural loans while the system of Islamic insurance would be introduced. He added that the revenue record would be made computerised and the landowners would be issued computerised pass books. He said that solar tube-wells would be introduced.
