The rescue personnel have recovered bodies of nine miners from the landslide here in Abbottabad on Friday while search for others was underway.
It should be mentioned that 11 labourers working at phosphate mine in Abbottabad's mountainous region were buried when a big land mass fell over them while they were having meal on Wednesday.
Due to far flung area and absence of road facilities rescue work could not be started on the day. However on Thursday rescue personnel remained busy to pull out bodies but they had to face problems as it needed heavy machinery to remove the big land mass.
So far nine dead bodies have been pulled out of the rubble of the collapsed mine. Two miners still remain trapped and rescuers were searching for them.
District Coordination Officer (DCO) Abbottabad, Imtiaz Hussain Shah, has called army to render help in rescue efforts. Meanwhile, the DCO has also formed a committee to probe the incident and to identify  the persons who were who were managing the illegal phosphate mine.
