HAFIZABAD - Adviser to Punjab Chief Minister on Food Mansha Ullah Butt has said that there is no shortage of wheat or flour in Gujranwala Division and 144 flour mills are grinding 1,40,000 bags of 20-kg each on daily basis which were being supplied to the consumers at Rs670 per bag in the division.
He was talking to the media here the other day.
Deputy Director Food Syed Arif Raza Bukhari briefed him that flour mills in the division were being supplied 34,500 bags of wheat on daily basis for processing while five flour mills in district Hafizabad were being supplied 448 bags and 392 bags of wheat were being supplied to mills in Chiniot on daily basis.
Mock exercise: A mock bomb explosion exercise was successfully conducted here the other day.
All departments concerned including Civil Defence, Rescue-1122, Police, Health and other departments were informed about the mock explosion.
However, personnel of all departments rushed to the spot promptly. DCO Farah Masood expressed her satisfaction over the agility of the personnel in reaching the proposed site near Bhoon Kalan.
Such exercises were aimed at meeting any eventuality, she added.
