8 terrorists killed in Mirali

PESHAWAR - At least eight militants were killed after the armed forces carried out a ground operation in different localities of Mirali in North Waziristan Agency on Saturday.
According to reports, forces during ground offensive in Mir Ali and its surrounding areas destroyed five hideouts of the militants and killed at least eight militants.
Official sources said the security forces targeted terrorists' hideouts on the other side of Tochi River, killing eight militants and destroying their five dens. Besides, troops are advancing towards Khushali and Hasokhel areas of Mir Ali.
During the ongoing operation Zarb-e-Azb in North Waziritan, more than 500 terrorists have so far been killed and 34 soldiers embraced martyrdom since June 15. Besides, dozens of militant hideouts have been flattened and several improvised explosive device (IED)-making factories seized in Miranshah area during last 42 days.
Pak Army has cleared Miranshah, Degan and Boya areas so far; however, operation is underway in Mir Ali. The Zarb-e-Azb operation was launched after the terror attack on Karachi airport in which 36 people lost their lives.
More than one million tribesmen have left North Waziristan Agency and migrated to downtowns of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
