KARACHI (PPI) - A rally here on Sunday demanded early release of Pakistani mother Dr Aafia Siddiqui languishing in a US prison on inhuman conviction on flimsy charges. The rally organised by Aafia Movement marched from the Karachi Press Club to the Governor House, where a memorandum was handed over to the Governor House officials. A large number of citizens and activists of Pasban, Jamaat-e-Islmai, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Khakisar Tahreek, Islami Jamait Talba, Shabab-e-Milli, Human Rights Network (HRN) participated the rally. Dr Fauzia Siddiqui, the younger sister of Aafia addressing the rally, demanded that like the Pakistani hostages of Somalia pirates, Dr Aafia, the mother of three children, should be freed from the illegal detention and repatriated home. She said the rulers should take heeds and take all-out steps for early release and repatriation of the innocent Aafia Siddiqui.
