Bannu: Nawaz reaches out to IDPs

Bannu- Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif arrived to visit the IDP camps today to review arrangements for thousands of displaced people who left their homes in North Waziristan due to anti-Taliban military operation in the tribal agency.
On the occasion, the military officials gave a detailed briefing to the Prime Minister on the arrangements made for the internally displaced persons of North Waziristan in relief camps. He also met with the soldiers and officers of Pakistan Army.
Earlier on arrival, Army Chief General Raheel received the Prime Minister. Governor Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Sardar Mehtab Abbasi, Chief Minister Pervez Khattak and Federal Ministers Abdul Qadir Baloch and Pervaiz Rashid are accompanying the Prime Minister.
The PM has also invited Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief, Imran Khan, to join him during the visit, however, the PTI chief excused himself from accompanying the PM and army chief during today’s visit. Khan was of the view that he has already visited the camps and that he has to attend his party’s public meeting in Bahawalpur today
