JI chief urges PM to convene APC on security situation

Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Syed Munawar Hassan has asked caretaker Prime Minister Mir Hazar Khan Khoso to convene an all-party conference on prevailing security situation in the country.
Talking to media in Quetta on Sunday‚ the JI chief said the conference should be attended by leaders of political parties and officials of security agencies.
Syed Munawar Hassan said that terrorism cannot be divided between liberalism and fundamentalism.
Hassan said that election should be held on time despite the current wave of terrorism which he said is being triggered by US and other foreign forces.
He said said delay in elections will cause serious threats to the country's existence.
Munawar said although the situation in different parts of the country is alarming‚ yet elections are a sole way to put things in order.
Munawar Hasan said anti state forces working on the agenda of their foreign masters are causing bomb blasts and suicide bombings in order to create anarchy and civil war situation in the country.
