KARACHI A policeman was killed by unidentified armed men while three dead bodies were recovered from different areas of the city on Sunday. According to details, a cop was killed in Bakhtawar Goth in an incident of target killing within the limits of Gulistan Jauhar Police Station. The 45-year old Muzafar Ahmed son of Boota was the resident of Bakhtawar, Goth Gulistan Jauhar, while he was taking tea at restaurant after completing his duty when unidentified armed men reached and opened indiscriminate firing on him, resultantly he died on the spot. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities. Police said victim was deployed in Gulistan Jauhar Police Station, adding he used to live in a quarter with his two colleagues. He hailed from Toba Taik Singh, Punjab, and was the father of five children. The funeral process was offered in Bakhtawar Goth and later his body was moved to his hometown. Police registered a case against unidentified men on the complaint of the state and initiated probe into the case. Separately, a body of a young man was found near Mehrun Nissa Hospital Korangi in the limits of Ibrahim Hyderi Police Station. The victim later identified as 21-year old Jawad Hussain son of Akhter Hussain was the resident of Sector 38-C Korangi. According to the police officials, they found his body in an empty plot near Mehrun Nissa Hospital, adding that he had some torture marks and one bullet injury on his body. They said victim was the employee of a private garments factory and had been missing since Saturday evening. Police further said that personal enmity might be behind his murder. He was unmarried. The body was shifted to JPMC and later handed over to the heirs. Police registered a FIR No 75/11 against unidentified men on the complaint of state. Similarly police found a gunny bag tortured body from Gull Chowk in the jurisdiction of Gulistan Jauhar Police Station. Area people informed police that one gunny bag was lying in ground situated at Gull Chowk near Al Fateh CNG Station, Block 5, Gulistan Jauhar. After getting information police rushed towards the spot and recovered the body of a man who was killed by with the help of sharp edge instrument. They said identity of victim was yet to be ascertained while he had several torture marks on his body and was wearing only Shalwar, adding that unidentified culprits before murder kidnapped him from unknown place and after his murder threw his body in the ground. Police shifted his body to JPMC for post-mortem and later moved it to Edhi Morgue for identification. No case was registered till filing of this report. In another incident, police found a dead body of a youth from Noorani Graveyard in the precinct of Zaman Town Police Station. The identity of victim was yet to be ascertained while police found his body from Noorani Graveyard Korangi and shifted to JPMC. Police said victim received four bullets on his body, adding that unidentified men killed him on unknown place and threw his body at graveyard because they did not find any empty shells from the scene. Police said victim appears to be Gilgati. Later police moved his body to Edhi Morgue for identification.
