A policeman was killed and another critically injured when unknown gunmen opened fire at the house of a judge of Shariah court here in Multan on Wednesday.
According to details, unidentified armed men attacked the house of the judge located in Mumtazabad area in Multan. A cop deployed at the security of the house was killed in the firing of assailants while another sustained wounds.
The dead body and injured were shifted to Nishtar Hospital.
The police cordoned off the area after the attack and launched search operation but the attackers managed to escape.
Police said that the attack was aimed at targeting Shariah court judge. But some sources claimed that the attack was outcome of personal enmity of police cops.
