Pakistan firm on support to freedom struggle



MIRPUR (AJK) - Federal Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Minister Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo said that Pakistan will continue all-out sincere efforts for early peaceful settlement of Kashmir issue through tripartite composite dialogue between Pakistan and India through involving the leadership of people of Jammu & Kashmir.
“Any solution to the Kashmir problem against the aspirations of people of Jammu & Kashmir will neither be acceptable to 180 million people of Pakistan nor to the government of Pakistan”, the federal minister added in his presidential address to the daylong national conference on “Islamic Law, International Community and Global Peace”, held here under the auspices of Islamic Ideological Council of Azad Jammu & Kashmir, the other day. The conference, attended by serving and retired judges of the superior and subordinate judiciary of AJK, legal experts, religious scholars, politicians, academicians, high ranking officials of the AJK government, journalists and the city elite, was also addressed among others by AJK Prime Minister Ch Abdul Majeed, AJK Supreme Court Chief Justice Muhammad Azam Khan, Jammu & Kashmir peoples Party President Maulana Muhammad Shafi Josh, Haji Munsaf Dad, Maulana Syed Muhammad Yousaf, Maulana Hafiz Zubair Ahmed Saheer, former AJK Jamaat-e-Islami ameer Sardar Ijaz Afzal, Dr Moeen Pirzada, AJK Education Minister Matloob Inqlabi and other religious scholars from various parts of the country including AJK.
Earlier, in his address of welcome, the AJK Supreme Court Chief Justice highlighted the objectives of conference.
Federal Kashmir Affairs and GB Minister Manzoor Wattoo continued that Pakistan was always determined to help people of Jammu & Kashmir in making their freedom struggle complete success in line with their aspirations under the spirit of the UN resolutions. “For the purpose Pakistan will continue moral, political and diplomatic support to the people of Jammu & Kashmir in their just and principled struggle for freedom”, he declared. “We want early peaceful settlement of Kashmir issue in line with the UN resolutions through result oriented talks with India”, the minister said.
Paying glorious tribute to the people of Jammu & Kashmir, the minister assured that Pakistan would continue extending fullest support to the just and principled cause of Kashmiri brethren.
Manzoor Wattoo said that India blatantly violated the UN resolutions on Kashmir by deploying over 0.7 million troops in the Held Kashmir to suppress Kashmiris struggle for the right to self-determination. The minister called upon the International community to take immediate notice of the continued human rights abuses and reign of brutalities unleashed by the Indian occupying troops in the Held Valley. He urged the comity of nations including human rights organization to exert pressure on India to grant Kashmiris their legitimate right to self-determination.
The minister said that the day was not far away when Pakistan would succeed in getting Kashmir issue resolved peacefully through negotiations with India. Speaking on the topic of the conference, the federal minister said that salvation here and hereafter lies in the total implementation of Islamic teachings in both the individual and collective lives.
Wattoo said the solution of the problems of the Muslim Ummah lies in complete unity and integrity and the strict observance of the sayings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) and the teachings of Islam which provides as the complete code of life for a Muslim.
Paying glorious tributes to Hazoor Nabi-e-Kareem Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) for his great services for spreading the message of Allah (Almighty) and for flourishing Islam, the minister said the progress and successes of the Islamic world lies in the strict obedience to the sayings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
