PESHAWAR - In the ongoing campaign against corrupt police officers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police force, 26 more officers of various ranks were suspended and further inquiry has been initiated against them.
According to details, on the directives of Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nasir Khan Durrani, the process to net corrupt and unscrupulous elements within the police force will continue to move ahead with full vigour.
In Kohat Region, 11 police officers of different ranks ware suspended. They included one inspector, four sub-inspectors, three assistant sub-inspectors and three other officers.
Similarly in Hazara region 15 officers of different ranks were suspended on the charges of corruption. The suspended officers included five inspectors, eight sub-inspectors and two assistant sub-inspectors.
It may be recalled that in the ongoing campaign against corrupt police officers so for 117 police officers of four regions have been suspended and further action has been launched against them.
