CHARSADDA (INP) - Some unidentified militants blew up three government girls schools in Chalas and Samnaat area of Charsadda district late Tuesday night.
According to sources, a group of unidentified militants planted explosive devices at the walls of two girls middle schools located in Samnaat area. The devices went off with big bang destroying portions of the two schools. The police sources said that no lose of life was reported in the explosions. The police sources said, at least 95 students were studying in the school under the banner of National Education Foundation. A government primary girls school in Chalas was also blown up by militants with explosives material.
At least 10 schools have been destroyed by the militants in Charsadda during the last three years. The police and other law-enforcement agencies cordoned off the entire area after blasts and started search drive.
