MANDI BAHAUDDIN - On the call of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ), a large number of ASWJ activists led by Maulana Mumtaz Ahmed took out a rally outside the Press Club against the murder attempt on the party’s Central Secretary Information Maulana Aurangzeb Farooqi and target killing in Karachi here the other day. The prominent among those who attended the rally included Maulana Islamuddin, Maulana Imran Shaheen, Qari Saeedur Rehman and District President Muhammad Ashraf Hussaini. Addressing the rally, the speakers condemned the murder attempt on Maulana Farooqi and demanded the government to arrest the assailants involved in the tragic incident immediately.  They said that the terrorists were continuing killing of innocent citizens of the country since long but the government was acting like a silent spectator. They asked the government to unveil the hands behind murder attempt on their leaders. The rally dispersed peacefully after making the protest.
