‘PPP not to become part of any undemocratic move’

MULTAN
Former Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has declared that the PPP will not become part of any undemocratic move and a mass contact drive will be launched after Eid.
Talking to a delegation of PPP workers here on Monday, he added that seeking support from army reflected dictatorial behaviour of rulers as all political issues should be settled through talks. "The PPP will never support such undemocratic steps," he asserted. He disclosed that his party intended to launch a mass contact drive after Eid to express solidarity with the poor citizens and non-confidence in government's policies.
He asked the Punjab Government to complete development projects launched by his regime instead of futile projects like jungla bus. "Instead of spoiling huge amounts on such futile projects, the rulers should accomplish projects like Faisalabad-Multan Motorway and Old Shujabad Road so that the masses get some relief," he added.
