LAKKI MARWAT - Filing of nomination papers for the one national and three provincial assembly seats began as Saifullah brothers and aspirants of other political parties and groups filed their papers with relevant returning officers at the Judicial Complex Tajazai on Thursday.
PML (likeminded) Chief Salim Saifullah Khan submitted his nomination papers for NA-27 with the concerned returning officer. His brother and former MNA Humayun Saifullah Khan also filed his papers for the national assembly seat as a covering candidate.
Other two candidates who filed their nomination papers for the sole National Assembly seat of the district included JUI-S Provincial Chief Maulana Syed Muhammad Yousaf Shah and Javed Anwar.
For Pk-74 (Lakki-I), PPP Provincial President Anwar Saifullah Khan filed his papers with the concerned returning officer.
Another aspirant Muhammad Riaz hailing from Naurang also submitted his papers to contest elections for the same provincial assembly seat.
Former MNA Humayun Saifullah Khan also filed his nomination papers with the returning officer to try his lot in the election for PK-75 (Lakki-II). Other candidates who submitted their papers for the same constituency are JUI-Nazryati District General Secretary Maulana Mufti Muhammad Khan Haqqani, Suleman Khan of Darra Pezu and Muhammad Ayyub Khan of Tajazai.
Four candidates filed their nomination documents for PK-76 (Lakki-III). They include Akhtar Munir Marwat of PML (N), former tehsil nazim advocate Fareedullah Khan Meenakhel, ex-nazims Ishfaq Ahmad Khan and Juhar Muhammad Khan.
Meanwhile, ANP’s district president advocate Sadruddin said that the party would field Malik Ali Sarver Khan to face the heavyweights of other political parties on NA-27.
Talking to this correspondent on Thursday, he said that some elements were maligning the ANP by issuing false press statements that ANP had no candidate in its ranks for the national assembly seat.
He told that Malik Ali Sarver Khan was nominated for NA-27 and he had been awarded party ticket.
He claimed that the nationalist party had strong candidates for the national and provincial assemblies’ constituencies. 
Sadruddin said that the ANP aspirants would prove the popularity of party by giving a surprise to all political rivals in coming elections.
