OUR STAFF REPORTER OKARA - The Jamaat-e-Islami general secretary has linked peace in the country to parting ways with the US and her so-called war on terror, saying that the government had totally failed to provide relief for the people. The people have become psychic due to social problems. Loadshedding of gas and electricity has affected all walks of life. The Industrial zones have completely destroyed, Liaqat Baloch said. With price hiking, lawlessness and unemployment, the people have become mental patients. After the war, the country has suffered a loos of billions of rupees. He added that the time has come to get rid of corrupt officials and politicians. He said while addressing a large gathering of party workers here. Baloch said the PPP and PML-N gave nothing except crises to the people. Deposits of 97 b of rupees in Swiss Bank are self explanatory proof of corruption on the part of the ruling class, he said. Having squeezed blood of the nation, these deposits in Swiss banks are the worst example of the rulers by adding new chapters in history, he added. The people involved in depredation can never be sincere to the country. The whole nation should join hands with Jamaat-e-Islami to get rid of these robbers. By the grace of Allah having come into power Jamaat Islami will bring the state treasure back from foreign banks, he said.
