PML-N’s CWC meeting takes up Gilani’s ouster today

LAHORE-The PML-N is all set to declare an all out war on the PPP government, as the PML-N’s Central Working Committee (CWC) which is scheduled to meet at Punjab House, Islamabad today, is most likely to endorse party chief’s decision of not accepting Yousuf Raza Gilani as country’s prime minister. The Monday’s CWC meeting of the PML-N is being held in the wake of Supreme Court verdict, convicting PM Gilani of contempt. To be chaired by PML-N chief Mian Nawaz Sharif, this consultative meeting would chalk out party’s future strategy after listening to party leader’s viewpoint. All options of ousting Mr Gilani, including that of long march, would come under discussion during the meeting, which would also be attended by party MNAs and Senators. It has been learnt that PML-N leadership has already decided that no further time should be given to the PPP-led government and after the meeting of central working committee today, an all out war will be declared on it. The party’s CWC meeting would merely endorse this decision, said a party source who requested not to be named. Meanwhile, Central PML-N leader and Member National Assembly Kh. Saad Rafiq has said that if judges can be restored with one long march the corrupt government of Zardari and Gilani can also be removed through another. Addressing a public meeting in UC-06 on Sunday, he said that people’s problems had multiplied in the last four years, they have to pay electricity and gas bills without receiving these utilities for most of the time. Saad questioned how a prime minister, who does not respect court’s decision, could expect others to obey the law.
