Islamabad- After slash in petroleum prices, the government today reduced the prices of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) by 15 rupees per kilogram.
The notification to this effect was issued by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources. The reduction of 177 rupees was made on domestic cylinder, the notification added. The official said that decrement move in prices had been made for facilitating the locals with increasing demand of the gas due to the ongoing winter season. After new prices, reduction of 681 rupees werer made on commercial cylinder. The LPG would be available in Karachi at 90 rupees per kg in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and other cities and towns in Punjab and Sindh at rate of 100 rupees per kg while in Murree, Azad Kashmir and FATA new price will be 120 rupees per kilogram.
The LPG secretary distribution association Pakistan said that following the direction, the LPG marketing companies had reduced the LPG prices by 15 rupees per kg which were implemented. Chairman of All Pakistan LPG distribution association Irfan Khokhar welcomed the step by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources and hoped that in future these prices would be reduced further.
