LAHORE (PR) - The All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS) has announced holidays for Eidul Fitr. According to a statement issued here Monday, APNS Secretary General Sarmad Ali announced that the member publications of the APNS would observe two closed holidays on account of Eidul Fitr. The statement said, if Eid falls on Wednesday (August 31), there would be no morning newspapers on Thursday (Sept 1) and Friday (Sept 2); whereas the eveningers not appearing on Wednesday (August 31), and Saturday (Sept 1), may bring out their editions on Friday, (Sept 2), if they so desire. But if Eid falls on Thursday (Sept 1), there would be no morning newspapers on Friday (Sept 2) and Saturday (Sept 3); whereas the eveningers not appearing on Thursday (Sept) and Friday (Sept 2) may bring out their editions on Saturday (Sept 3), if they so desire.
