Solution in top three’s hands: JI

MULTAN - Jamaat-i-Islami chief Sirajul Haq has said that the ball is still in the court of Nawaz Sharif, Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri and they can find out peaceful solution of existing problem.
He observed this while addressing a big public meeting here at Kalma Chowk on Friday.
He said that it was highly regrettable that political leadership failed to resolve the problem so far.
“But it is because of those people who do not let the talks become decisive and are looking for bodies to become political stalwarts,” he added.
He hoped that the three leaders would succeed to find out the solution to prevailing crisis.
The JI Ameer said that those looting the country and nation for the last 68 years had fixed their turns. “Both the parties, who have been ruling the country since long, give protection to each other’s corruption instead of holding accountability,” he maintained. He urged upon the masses to recognise these groups of thieves and mend their electoral behaviour.
He declared that the JI wanted such a system in the country which ensured rights to the poor, labourers and powerless equal to those enjoyed by the Ministers and Advisers.
He said that an Islamic revolution was the destiny of JI and it would establish a model society on the pattern of Madina State.
Referring to South Punjab, he said that this region was faced with multiple problems but no ruler bothered to resolve them.
He lamented that a common citizen was deprived of education, health and employment facilities while on the other hand the privileged sections of society exploited all out resources of the country.
Speaking on this occasion, Secretary General of JI said that the feudal lords, who were riding on the backs of the citizens, changed their parties and loyalties to stay in rule.
He warned that the situation of the country and society would not change until the looters and plunderers of national resources were kicked out of political system.
He declared that the JI would continue to play its role for the protection of Constitution, democracy and national stability.
He said that the key to change the situation was in hands of masses.
“PPP and PML-N have been taking their turns but the problems being faced by the masses stand the same,” he maintained.
He said that the real problem being faced by South Punjab was scarcity of water but no government took any step to resolve this issue.
He said that those holding celebrations on intervention of Army Chief were waiting for umpire’s finger to rise but the situation was heading towards a severe destruction. He regretted that some elements created confusion.
“All the parties had almost reached a solution as the government had accepted all demands of Imran Khan but then the demand for Prime Minister’s resignation caused deadlock and pushed the country towards a serious crisis,” he pointed out.  Other JI leaders including Ameer Punjab Dr. Syed Waseem Akhtar, Asif Ikhwani, Dr. Aurangzeb Shahzad and Azeem ul Haq Pirzada also spoke on this occasion.
Earlier, a large number of JI workers from different areas of South Punjab reached Multan to attend the public meeting. Police made strict security arrangements to avert any untoward incident.
