Police defuse homemade bomb in Naurang

Lakki Marwat - Police on Monday averted a tragedy by defusing a homemade bomb in Nar Shezad Kilay near Naurang town.
An official said that villagers spotted some suspected material along the house of one Zainud Din in Nar Shezad Kilay and informed police. He said that a contingent of Shaheed Asmatullah Khan Khattak police station rushed to the village and besieged the place where the suspected material was lying.
“The law enforcers restricted the villagers not to visit the place and called bomb disposal squad from Lakki city,” he maintained.
He told that BDS experts found that the suspected material was a homemade bomb with detonators, batteries, explosive wire and a watch connected to it. “They defused the 12 kg explosive devise and saved the locality from disaster,” official added.
