Teachers for implementing 4pc quota in SST posts

PESHAWAR - Scores of activists of the Tanzeem-e-Asatiza, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday held a protest demonstration against the government and authorities concerned here outside press club.
The protesting teachers holding placards and banners inscribed with slogans to press for their demand to implement four per cent quota for Primary Education Teachers (PET) in SST posts. They strongly slammed the authorities concerned in education department for their ignoring attitude towards them.
Addressing the protesting community, Tanzeem-e-Asatiza Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Khairullah Hawari said that 4 per cent quota for primary education teachers in the SST post was introduced by the previous ANP-led provincial government but yet to be implemented. Though, He said the teachers in other categories were given promotion but PET staff was ignored despite lapse of several months.
Hawari demanded the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to ensure implantation of 4 per cent quota, otherwise, threatened to boycott the classes and expand their protest till the acceptance of their demands.
