Staff ‘hurls death threats’ at DDEO

ATTOCK - Deputy District Education Officer (Women) Iffat Qadir Malik lodged a complaint with the police demanding action against some clerks and teachers for allegedly hurling death threats at her.
As per the complaint, the DDEO Hazro stated that four clerks of her office, two each of DEO (Male) Attock, DDEO (Male) Hazro besides two teachers of Govt Middle School harassed her and hurled death threats at her through two motorcyclists. She said that the motorcyclists chased her while she was travelling by her private car and threatened her of dire consequences. She sought legal action against the persons involved. However, till the filing of the report, the police had taken no action.
As per the office-bearers Mutahida Mahaz Asatiza, the complainant was an honest and hardworking officer. During her tenure, she stopped all types of malpractices by clerks and fully tried to implement the Chief Minister’s road map for the government schools, they said.
They condemned the harassment and demanded immediate action against those involved. As per sources, the DDEO had been made officer on special duty and ordered to report to Secretary Education Office Lahore.
