WAZIRABAD - The people having contradiction in their words and deeds and shuffle their stand cannot bring a change. One ‘Tsunami’ has already been brought by the PPP in shape of price-hike and corruption hence there is no room for another one.
The Likeminded group, led by Hamid Nasir Chattha, has a good number of political heavyweights both in Punjab and Sindh provinces and has always served the masses whether in rule or opposition.
Likeminded local leader Muhammad Asif Kalair of PP-104 said this while talking to media here the other day.
He said that there was no political heavyweight in three constituencies NA 101, PP-103 and PP-104 of Tehsil Wazirabad like Hamid Nasir Chattha.
He said that Chattha was one of the most influential politicians of Pakistan respected by friends and foes alike.
He said that between 1981-1985 Hamid Nasir Chattha served as Provincial Minister of Punjab holding the portfolio of Health and Education. He then went on to serve as Speaker of the National Assembly from 1986-1988.
“Hamid Nasir Chattha is an important component of local election and play key role in national politics, Contrary to this other local leaders are in secondary position,” he added. He said that alliance of PML-N and Like-minded would make Muslim League stronger and would bring positive change in country’s democratic system.
He said that both the parties leadersip were much concerned over the critical situation of the country and to steer it out the multiple crises, they decided to join hands.
He said that today the country was beset with problems on every side and through a conspiracy instability was being created in Balochistan, Sindh, KPK and Gilgit-Baltistan with an aim to weaken Pakistan. He said that Pakistan was created under the banner of Muslim League and only this party would save the country.
Alluding to PPP, he said it was confronting with the institutions to land the country into further abyss. Today, he said, the judiciary was independent, but the federal government was not conceding to its decisions.
“The local leaders who are intending to contest election may not get party ticket because voters know them well and their sporadic appearances in constituencies as well”, Mr Kalair said.
