OTTAWA (AFP) - Canada's GDP dropped 3.4 percent in the fourth quarter of 2008, the biggest quarterly decline since 1991, Statistics Canada said Monday.
Analysts had expected a 3.6 contraction in the fourth quarter.
The GDP fell 0.8 percent from the previous quarter, after a progressive monthly decline, Statistics Canada said in statement.
