ISLAMABAD (APP) - A four-member delegation from M/s IRG United States of America Wednesday visited Board of Investment and discussed potential and possibilities of investment in various sectors of the economy with special reference to Alternative Energy with Minister of State Saleem H Mandviwalla.
The delegation comprised Asif Shaikh, President, IRG Rick Whitaker, Vice President, Michel Vochan, Senior Vice President L-3 Services Group and Amer Raza, Country Representative, IRG.
M/s IRG is a consulting firm which assists government, private sector and communities in managing their resources, said a statement issued here Wednesday.
The company is involved in serving as an architect of WAPDAs Strategic Plan for the power sector under USAIDs Pakistan private sector power project and developing functions of NEPRA. The delegation also showed interest in alternative energy resources.
On the occasion, the Minister of State and Chairman BOI, encouraged them to invest in alternative energy in view of energy shortage in the country.
The BOI Chairman hoped that with the help of foreign investors we can fill gaps in demand and supply of energy. He said the Board of Investment was working aggressively to facilitate investors in the country.
