PM asks businessmen to become competitive in int'l market

ISLAMABAD (APP) - Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani stressed upon business community to undertake initiatives to improve quality of their commodities in order to make them more competitive in the international market.
A delegation of Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) led by its President Zafar Iqbal Chaudhry called on Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani at his Parliament House Chamber here Wednesday evening.
The Prime Minister while highlighting the governments efforts in executing trade friendly policies for promotion of business activities in the country said that the business community plays a vital role for the economic progress of the country.
The Prime Minister appreciated the LCCI for its leading role in undertaking various philanthropic activities and urged them to further broaden its activities.
Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira was also present in the meeting.
Other members of the delegation included Vice President LCCI Faisal Iqbal Sheikh and former President LCCI Mian Shafqat Ali.
