UK to reduce visa process time for businessmen

LAHORE (PR) - Adam Thomson who has recently taken over as British High Commissioner and initially the inventor of the idea Friends of Democratic Pakistan forum held a top level businessmen round table conference in Lahore here on Monday.
He was assisted by Deputy High Commissioner and Director UKTI Robert Gibson.
Thomson is a career Diplomat and has served in Delhi, New York and is sensitive to the regional and geographical challenges thus posted rightly in lslamabad. UK Government under the umbrella of UKTI - UK Trade and Investment is very keen to assist top British as well as key Pakistani companies and businesses who have commercial and financial connection with UK businesses and to promote trade and business between both countries.
He assured the business community that the British Government is genuinely looking at reducing visa processing time and is trying to find out ways to facilitate both businessmen and students to be able to visit UK freely and without delay. Though law and order and lack of political will and judicial governance was considered as a hurdle to a modern Pakistan.
Present were Rashid Mehr CEO of Moody Pakistan a top British global company, Sikandar Mustafa Chairman Millat Tractors, Aftab Butt CEO KAPCO, Saleem Ghuari CEO NETSOL Technologies, Khawar Khawaja CEO Grays of Cambridge from Sialkot and many other prominent businessmen shared their view on the present economic condition and future business prospect.
