Mobile subscribers go up by 1.4 per cent
By IRFAN MALIK August 22, 2008 KARACHI - The overall mobile subscribers have slightly gone up by 1.4 per cent to 89.3 million in July-08, similar to a 1.5 per cent rise in June-08 while net additions for July-08 declined by 5.6 per cent to 1.3 million.
For a rolling 12 months period, the cellular industry average has consequently declined to 2.0 million subscribers as compared to 2.1 million for FY08, cellular data released by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) said.
