Trade volume touches 11-year low at KSE

Only 24,77,000 shares were traded at the Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) on Thursday while trade volume reached the lowest level in the last 11 years. The market began today on a negative note and this trend continued throughout the day. The KSE 100-index, while shedding 7 points, closed at 9,184 points and trade volume stood at 24,77,000 shares which was the lowest since 1997. Today, the highest trading was seen in the shares of Engro Chemicals as the price of its share remained unchanged at Rs 180.44.
