EMC for expediting urea import process
August 28, 2008 ISLAMABAD (PPI) - Economy Monitoring Committee (EMC), which met here Thursday directed MINFAL that urea import process from Saudi Arabia be expedited and imported fertilizer be distributed through NFC and USC network of sales outlets.
It was chaired by Syed Naveed Qamar Federal Minister for Finance, Privatization & Investment. The meeting was apprised about incoming urea shipment of 1,25,000 tones to cater to local consumption that would help stabilize local prices.
