Kylie doesn't like auditions
Published: July 05, 2009
KYLIE Mingoue has denied claims she’s putting her singing career on hold in a bid to get back into acting.
The pint-sized pop princess - found fame through Aussie soap Neighbours and played the Absinthe fairy in Moulin Rouge - says she may never act again because her nerves get the better of her and she just freezes.
“Auditions terrify me,” says Kylie. “I say I want to act again but I think actually the acting might be the easier part but auditions really, really just . . . I’m nervous just talking about them! I get all tongue-tied.”
It was recently reported that the 41-year-old Spinning Around hitmaker was planning to convert to Catholicism, so she can have a traditional church wedding to Spanish model Andres Valencoso.
“She enjoyed the sense of community Andres’ family share thanks to their faith,” a source told Britain’s Grazia magazine.
“Kylie is so intent on including the traditional aspects of a Catholic mass that she’s thinking of converting.” – SS
